Pricing & Custom Work

Not Etsy. Not Amazon. Built for you.

No two builds are exactly alike. Some projects are simple and functional, others involve detailed CNC carving, specialty hardwoods, or personalized engraving. Each piece is shaped by the idea behind it and the time required to build it right.

Each project begins as a conversation — not a catalog order.
Designs are shaped by how the piece will be used, the character of the wood, and the level of craftsmanship required to build it properly.

Most custom pieces fall between $100 and $400.

Some projects may be less.
Some heirloom builds, specialty woods, or complex designs may be more.
Final pricing depends on materials, machine time, design work, and the unique details that make each piece personal.

Why Custom Woodworking Prices May Vary

This isn’t mass-produced décor or flat-pack furniture.

Custom woodworking involves many moving parts — from wood selection and availability to tooling, machining time, finishing work, and layout design. Hardwood prices can change quickly, specialty lumber may need to be sourced, and certain projects require new bits, jigs, or additional CNC setup to achieve the right result.

Machine time also matters. A simple engraved keepsake might take a few hours. A detailed cribbage board, humidor, or sign can require many hours of CNC carving, sanding, finishing, and assembly.

Some custom builds also require specialty tooling, new CNC bits, or additional machine setup to achieve the right level of detail and durability.

Rather than publish prices that may not reflect the reality of a build, each project is quoted honestly based on what it takes to build it right.

How Wood Selection Affects Custom Woodworking Pricing

Different woods behave differently — visually, structurally, and in how they finish. Some species are readily available, while others are limited, seasonal, or specialty sourced. Hardwood availability and pricing can shift throughout the year, especially for specialty or figured lumber.

Built to Be Used — Not Just Displayed

These pieces are meant to live with you.

They are built to be handled, gifted, passed down, and enjoyed for years. That means careful construction, quality finishes, and thoughtful design choices — not shortcuts.

A Simple Custom Process

Most projects follow a straightforward path:

  1. You reach out with an idea, inspiration photo, or general need.
  2. We talk through options — wood choices, size, layout, engraving, or personalization.
  3. A clear quote is provided before any work begins.
  4. Progress updates are shared when appropriate.
  5. The finished piece is completed, protected, and shipped or delivered.

No pressure. No obligation. Just honest conversation and thoughtful craftsmanship.

Not Etsy. Not Amazon. Something More Personal.

This is small-batch, story-driven woodworking.

Some designs can be repeated. Many evolve slightly each time. Truly custom builds are always welcome. Whether you have a clear vision or just a rough idea, custom projects often start with a simple conversation.

If you have something in mind — even if you’re not sure exactly what it is yet — start the conversation. Good projects often begin that way.
