Jenny — Cedar Cribbage Board
Jenny’s board followed soon after Bob’s, sparked by a moment of recognition and a shared love of the game. After seeing Bob’s cribbage board on Facebook, she reached out with a request of her own — one for her mother, a lifelong cribbage lover living in assisted living.
Jenny imagined a board shaped like a loon, a symbol filled with meaning. When I couldn’t make the silhouette work in wood the way it deserved, I leaned into the theme instead. The result was a custom lid engraving of a loon, paired with a deck of loon-themed playing cards — a quieter, more refined way to tell the same story.
What emerged was something deeply personal. Familiar. Comforting. A piece that carried both the spirit of the game and the presence of home into a new chapter of life.
Like Bob’s board, these builds began as simple gestures of gratitude and grew into something more — proof that even a small game can hold deep meaning when crafted with intention.
